Inter-School Drawing Competition at D.E.M.S

To drive the creative minds to their potential, an Inter-School drawing competition for Std. 7, 8 & 9 was conducted on 4th Feb 2018 at Dnyanganga English Medium School. The topic of the activity was ‘National Integration’ on the theme of ‘Milap’.

Children presented such beautiful and diligent drawings that it was a treat to the eyes. Selecting the winners was a tough task for the Judge.

Winners:

1st-Owee Sawarkar

2nd-Kalyani Khot

3rd-Ishwari Borkar

Three consolation prizes were also given to the students, those are:-

1)Shalmali Bapat

2)Kanchan Bhutada

3)Aaditya Gawande

Hon. Guest Mr.Mukim Tamboli enlightened the students by demonstrating various drawing techniques and remarked that this competition served as a platform to encourage artistic talent. He said this would help unearth budding talent and give the students an opportunity to set foot on the path towards attaining the stature of renowned artists like Leonardo da Vinci.

This competition gave students a wonderful opportunity to think out of the box. Principal Mrs. Renuka Datta praised the students and commended their achievements in creative pursuits while continuing to break barriers in their academic work as well.

This event proved to be fruitful due to the sheerguidance of the Founder Director Mr. S.M. Katkar, Secretary Mr. Jayesh Katkar, Principal Mrs. Renuka Datta, supervisors and teaching and non-teaching staff.

The event concluded with the thoughts of students, “The competition not only serves its sole purpose but also gives us a platform to display our vivid ideas and learn more by interacting with others”.
