Physical activity or play is an integral part for a child’s physical and mental development. Play helps the child to learn to follow rules of a game i.e. discipline, to wait for one’s turn i.e. patience, importance of regular practice, developing strategies, team building, sportsmanship, leadership skills, etc. These skills are important for the psychological well-being of a student as while they learn to face various challenges in life. At DEMS, we encourage students to follow a daily routine that begins with physical exercise and various sports activities during school hours as well. As a school tradition, our students have bagged awards in various inter-school and external sports competitions.
