INTRA-SCHOOL ‘SCRATCH CODING CHALLENGE CONTEST’ 2020-21
Computer Programming and Coding literacy is one of the most important skills of the 21st century. Computer Programming, Coding, etc. provide ideal platforms which helps in learning through experimentation and play.
DEMS has organised an Intra-School Scratch Coding Challenge Contest in association with NIIT for the students of class VII and VIII to provide an opportunity to show and display designing, coding and programming skills. Students of class VII and VIII had to create projects like Gaming zone, Animated story, Music, etc. using Scratch software on the topic provided “My Favourite Festival”. Students showed their Programming and coding skills with their very creativity. The students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their talent under the guidance of our Computer teachers- Mrs. Rupali Gunjal, Mrs. Mugdha Kulkarni, Mrs. Shweta Kajale and Mrs. Yogita Patil.
The judgement criteria were creativity, software utilization, relevance to the topic and overall project presentation.
The winners are: –
- Paris Chaudhari – Std.VIII
- Varad Vaidya – Std. VII
Winners received cash prize and certificate from NIIT.
Founder Director of Zeal Education Society Mr. S.M.Katkar, Secretary Mr. Jayesh Katkar, Executive Director Mr. Pradip Khandve, Principal of DEMS Mrs.Renuka Datta, Supervisors congratulated the winners .
