Annual Sports Day at D.E.M.S

Zeal Education Society’s Dnyanganga English Medium School held its Annual Sports Meet on 16th January 2014. The objective behind this event was to cultivate the spirit of true sportsmanship in the young minds. The Sports meet started with the ‘Mashal Run’ which was an event to pay homage to our late champions & the torch symbolized carrying forward their spirit to the future citizens. The oath taking ceremony was the next event which was conducted smoothly. A well synchronized march pass captured the attention of the audience and kept them enthralled. The Lezim, human pyramid, and Yogasana performances put up by the students were appreciated and enjoyed by the audience.
Secretary of Zeal Education Society Jayesh Katkar and Mr.Shinde (Supervisor from the Pune Municipal Corporation) inaugurated the sports meet. Mr. Jayesh Katkar in his speech conveyed the value of “A healthy mind in a healthy body”. The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Founder Director Mr. Katkar & Principal Mrs. Nupur Ghosh applauded the students for their achievements and encouraged them to aim for higher goals.
