Sports Day Celebrations a Huge Success!

Dnyanganga English Medium School and Junior College’s Annual Sports Day was held on 21st January & 22nd January 2026 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event saw participation from students of all classes, showcasing their talents and team spirit.

The day began with an opening ceremony, where the principal Mrs. Anuradha Nikam Madam and the chief guest Mr. Bhupendra Acharekar sir lit the torch. It was followed by march past of various houses and the junior college crew. Then Principal madam gave the oath to all the players. The highlights of the event were the yoga dance showing various Yogasanas in a rhythmic display, a dance performance – a tribute to women hood, which depicted the strength and resilience of women through a beautiful fusion of traditional and contemporary dance styles and the rhythmic dance performance that followed was a visual treat, with students showcasing their energy and coordination. After these performances, the chief guest, Mr. Bhupendra Acharekar sir, who has trained many national & international swimmers, addressed the Meet. He narrated the importance of unity, teamwork, and sportsman spirit in day-to-day life. It is followed by a vote of thanks. The balloons were released in the air & the chief guest rendered formal proclamation of the beginning of sports events.

The team events, including kabbadi, dodge ball, and running races, saw intense competition and sportsmanship among the students. The kabbadi match was a crowd favorite.

The events concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates. The principal madam congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue pursuing sports and fitness.

Overall, the Sports Day celebrations were a resounding success, promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among the students.
