Pune Book Festival
Students of Dnyanganga English Medium School & Junior College visited the Pune Book Festival held at Fergusson College on 20th December 2025. The educational visit was organised with the aim of encouraging reading habits and broadening students’ intellectual horizons.
The Pune Book Festival was organised by the National Book Trust (NBT) and was spread across a vast area with nearly 800 stalls. Each stall showcased a diverse range of books covering various genres such as Fiction and Non-Fiction, Encyclopaedias, Science, Philosophy, Religion, Autobiographies, English, Hindi, Sanskrit and Marathi Literature, Dictionaries, Mythology, Cookbooks, Poetry, Drama, Sociology and Graphic Novels.
Students enthusiastically explored the festival, browsing through books, reading excerpts and purchasing books of their choice. The colourful and well-organised stalls created an inspiring atmosphere that motivated students to develop a deeper interest in reading.
Reading books enriches the world of knowledge and enhances imagination, creativity and critical thinking. In order to inculcate the habit of reading among students and to expose them to a wide variety of literature, this educational visit was organised under the guidance of Principal of Dnyanganga English Medium School & Junior College Mrs. Anuradha Nikam. The visit proved to be an enriching and memorable experience for the students, fostering a lifelong love for books and learning.
