DEMS celebrated 5th International Yoga Day
Bhagavad Gita says “Yoga is the journey of self, through the self, to the self”. Truly, it is a boon to mankind. Regular yoga helps build better intellectual, mental and physical health. DEMS celebrated International Yoga Day to spread the awareness of yoga benefits among students and to positively change their lifestyle.
Anuradha Tallu from Tallu Foundation’s introduced all the guests. Asawari Gadhikar from Patanjali narrated the story of great Yogacharya Maharshi Patanjali. Vijaya Kapase threw some light on benefits of Yogasanas and Pranayam. She also spoke about the importance of yoga in a student’s life.
The Principal of the D.Ed. college Mr. Jagtap, DEMS principal Mrs. Renuka Datta, all the supervisors, teachers and non-teaching staff practiced yoga along with the students.
Founder Director S. M. Katkar sir, Secretary Mr. Jayesh Katkar, Executive Director Mr.Pradeep Khandave motivated students to practice yoga daily to develop a balance between the body, soul and mind.
