Wellness message marks Raksha-Bandhan at DEMS

Dnyanganga English Medium School, Sinhagad road, celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great enthusiasm. The school organised a special event to educate students about the significance of this festival. Rakhi making activity was organised in the school to mark the festival and make students

understand the sacred bond between brother and sister. Handmade rakhis by girls were tied on their brother’s hands while a thank you card brought a smile on the sister’s face.

Students showed keen interest in the occasion making the atmosphere joyful and lovable. Keeping in view the importance of festival the girls tied rakhis to fire brigade personnel’s who by risking their own lives, protect the lives of people. The fire brigade personnel’s were overjoyed by this gesture of the school. Conveying the gratitude of taking care of

students, the girls also tied rakhis to the school kakas and van kakas in a very traditional manner.

Everybody enjoyed the entire event with great excitement and religious fervour. Principal Mrs. Renuka Datta, Supervisors graced the occasion helping to catalyse the feeling of care and affection for our dear ones as well as society/community helpers.Founder Director S.M.Katkar Sir appreciated the students for their successful participation in the event and conveyed his best wishes for the festival.
