DEMS celebrated 5th International Yoga Day

Bhagavad Gita says “Yoga is the journey of self, through the self, to the self”. Truly, it is a boon to people on earth. Regular yoga practice leads to better intellectual, mental and physical health. DEMS celebrated International Yoga Day to enhance the awareness about yoga benefits among students and to positively change the lifestyle of students to increase the level of well-being.

Students were guided by Tallu Foundation’s associates. AnuradhaTallu madam introduced all guests. AsawariGadhikar madam from Patanjali Association narrated the story of great Yogacharya Maharshi Patanjali. Vijaya Kapase madam guided students about Yogasans and Pranayam. She also addressed the importance of yoga in students’ life.

D.Ed. college principal Mr. Jagtap, DEMS principal Mrs. RenukaDatta, all supervisors, teachers and non-teaching staff practiced yoga along with the students.

 Founder Director S. M. Katkar sir, Secretary JayeshKatkar sir,  Executive Director  Pradip Khandave sir motivated students to practice yoga daily to add many happy years to life and develop balance between body, soul and mind.
